For many years I admired colorful paintings in museums and galleries. I attempted to paint starting with the medium oil, then acrylic and then I found watercolor and there I remained. I went public with my work at the Lower Makefied Performing Arts in 1995. I went to Italy with a workshop called, Painting in Italy, it was an adventure in color, beauty and culture. The colors of Italy were full of age, history and emotion. I painted in plain air and found it motivating to quickly paint to out race the sunlight. My watercolors are creative impressionism . I am drawn to views that reflect warmth, color ,excitement and culture. My goal is to express these feelings of emotion in my paintings.
